Conflict that is not addressed or managed in the workplace can cause significant issues not to mind a toxic work environment / culture. Understanding conflict and the different conflict modes that can be used can support the meaningful approaching of conflict so it is not left festering and it is not viewed in a negative way.
Conflict can, in fact, be positive. Although we typically have a very negative view on conflict, conflict can be productive. In this TKI Workshop, we use the TKI model to demonstrate how conflict can be positive and productive, simply by highlighting different conflict modes and how each mode can be beneficial depending on the context of the conflict.
