Leadership Coaching

Leadership coaching is all about giving your leaders the skills and tools within themselves to maximise performance, both within themselves and for their colleagues.

Why coach our leaders? It may sound strange that Leaders need coaching but in a study by Gartner in 2019, only 50% of leaders are confidence in their leadership abilities and don’t feel well equipped to carry their company into the future. Now more than ever with the changing work environment, leadership coaching can have significant implications for organisational performance, work quality, engagement, and productivity for the leaders and their colleagues. The expectations of our leaders is evolving and it can be difficult for leaders to keep up. 

What makes a great leader? Being an effective leader starts with the self. As the saying goes you cannot help others until you help yourself. When you can clearly define what leadership should look like and what is expected of a leader then the goal is to model that behaviour. The extension of this allows the leader to enable others to succeed. Leadership coaching allows the unifying of thinking about being a better leader to actually being a better leader. This is delivered through an increased understanding of self, making sense of what leadership should look like, exploring who you want to be as a leader and how to utilise this awareness to become the best leader you can be.

Leadership coaching is not a copy and paste of skills and techniques to be a great leader. It is all about becoming aware of who you are as a leader, recognising your own strengths, weaknesses, and leadership style. By recognising these aspects of yourself you can then maximise your own potential and become the leader you are meant to be.
