Selection
& Development Assessment
Selecting the
right people for your organisation is vital, as is the continual
development of your employees.
At Vitae we
provide specialist consultancy support in selection and development
assessment:
- Behavioural
interviews
- Ability testing
- Personality assessment
- Assessment centres
- Development centres
Ability
Tests
Ability tests are designed to assess abilities necessary to perform
in a particular job and include, numerical, verbal, spatial and
abstract reasoning.
At Vitae we
use ability tests from some of the most prominent test publishers
– Saville & Holdsworth (SHL), Oxford Psychologists Press (OPP) and
ASE, in addition to other providers.
We can advise
companies on the most suitable tests for their organisation based
on the competencies to be assessed.
Personality
Assessment
We use some of the most well respected personality
assessment tools currently developed. These include;
·Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
·Cattell’s 16PF
·Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ)
·California Personality Inventory (CPI)
From a management
perspective personality assessments can give you an insight into
what motivates an individual, how they relate to others, how they
think and how they manage their emotions. All vital information
in any selection and development decision.
Selection
Assessment Centres
Selection assessment centres provide a comprehensive and high validity
approach to assessing a candidate’s suitability for a job. They
consist of a series of exercises designed to evaluate the behaviour
of individuals in a variety of situations. The exercises give an
organisation the opportunity to observe an individual’s behaviour
in a simulated or ‘real life’ business situation.
Development
Centres
Development centres are similar to selection centres in their structure and
format but the focus of the outcome is on development. Individual
feedback to each participant of the development centre is facilitated
by our consultants and includes the design of a personal development
action plan.
