Personal Effectiveness Coaching

Working on a 1:1 basis, our consultants will help your employees improve their personal effectiveness through the use of psychometric and coaching interventions.

Whilst the client determines the focus of the coaching, core to each is the use of a variety of psychometric tools and self-assessment tools. Examples of the focus the coaching could have are, career development, interpersonal skills or stress management.

At Vitae we use a step approach to development, starting with the individual developing awareness both of themselves, others and their impact on others. Having established this awareness, together with the business drivers and other catalysts for change we facilitate the development of an action plan with the employee. On a regular basis and for a defined period of time, as agreed with the client company, we then meet the employee for on-going coaching to facilitate and evaluate progress against the action plan, using a variety of intervention techniques. Some of the psychometric assessments used are as follows;

Myers Briggs Type Indicator
The most extensively used personality indicator worldwide, the MBTI is positive and constructive in approach and provides a useful starting point for self-exploration. Examples of preferences measured include communication, decision-making and learning styles. The MBTI is also a very useful tool in career management.

16PF A self-report instrument
The 16PF measures 16 personality dimensions. It aids personal development as it identifies personal qualities that influence behaviours in work settings, such as problem solving and interpersonal style.

Career Anchors
A person's career anchor is a combination of their perceived area of competence, motives and values that are central to who they are. An understanding of one’s individual Career Anchor can greatly enhance any career decision taken in the future.
